This title is a bit facetious, but true. Here at GroupSwim, we’ve concluded that it is time to change the name of our blog. It is called “The Diving Board”, which is cool but doesn’t really do much for us in terms of marketing or drawing readers. In looking through the search hits we get, quite a few people come here searching for tips on scuba diving and other forms of diving. While I think this is funny, we need to change our name to improve our ability to be found with relevant search terms. Bill Ives, a great blogger, pointed this out to us the other day.
So, we need a new name. We want to blend in important concept(s) that we either promote or built into GroupSwim. These could include:
- Semantic Discovery
- Enterprise 2.0
- Intelligent Software
- Enterprise Collaboration
- Social Collaboration
You get the idea. So, if you have any suggestions for a pithy and relevant name for this blog, let us have it. Thanks for your help.

If you are serious with ‘GroupSwimming’ then the diving board is OK.
Get search hits from the content published.
+ change the subtitle from ‘official blog’ into what GroupSwim is about
+ add a direct link to the GroupSwim website

Hey Marnix,
Great ideas. Thanks!

Agree with Marnix. The title doesn’t have to be exact, as the content and individual posts are what will be picked up in organic search results.
How about something associated with the Deep End (GroupSwimming in the Deep End)? The Deep End assumes a little more advanced swimmer/user vs. a beginning swimmer/casual user. More than likely somewhat advanced users will be reading/posting on the blog.
